The Quality Assurance System

Quality Assurance is a systematic approach through which every NKUA department and NKUA itself have the ability to watch and improve their academic activities on an ongoing basis.

The Quality Assurance system consists of three individual processes:

  1. The annual evaluation and recording of the Department's work (Annual Census Reports)
  2. The periodic, every four years, review of the Department's work (Internal Review) and
  3. The merging of the Internal Review findings with an additional, objective view, compiled from independent experts that are not part of the Academic Unit (External Review).

The results of the quality assurance processes are evaluated relative to four criteria groups: (a) Teaching, (b) Research (c) Curriculum and (d) Other Services.
