Sound and room acoustics, microphones and speakers, analog to digital conversion, dithering, audio formats, analog and digital mixers, effects algorithms, sequencers and samplers, Digital Audio Workstations (DAW), mastering, sound synthesis algorithms. Study of, and practice with, specific commercial systems, including Yamaha DM-1000, Yamaha MG24/14FX, Digidesign Pro Tools HD and LE with Command 8 control surface, Reason softsynth.
